Since the Loma Prieta earthquake in 1989, Mr. Heung-Yeol Kim, the president of
Kim & Brother has studied and invented the earthquake-resistant systems.
In 2017, he received a Korean patent for his seismic isolation systems.
In 2021, the seismic isolation systems were granted a Japanese patent and a U.S patent.
We take great pride in the fact that our seismic isolation system can reduce the lateral
shakes caused from earthquakes by approximately 60~90% (depending on the implemented modules used).
